Christmas is the perfect time to curl up with your family and friends on the couch with a soft blanket, a bowl of popcorn and a cup of hot chocolate. There's nothing more relaxing than enjoying some of the top Christmas movies during the holiday season. “It's a Wonderful Life” is one of the top Christmas movies of all time. This movie can be shown time and time again to many generations. While the movie was released in the late 1940's, people today can still relate to the message that the movie espouses. At one time or another, everybody feels stressed out and may question their reason for living. If we are lucky enough, there is going to be that angel on our shoulders, leading the way, giving us every reason to believe we should be alive. We all have an important role to play in life and the world wouldn't be the same without our existence. George Bailey teaches us about life, love, responsibility and why we should love what is right in front of us.
In the movie, “The Christmas Shoes”, you get to experience a boy's goal to make his mom's dream come true. He wants to buy her a special pair of Christmas shoes so that she can dance one last time. In the background of the story, a lawyer tries to put together a failing marriage, the result of too many hours spent at work. He's missed out on important events with his daughter and spending time with his life. By seeing the young boy spend time with his mother a during her final moments, you learn just how precious life really is. He does everything possible to save money to purchase the special pair of shoes.
“A Christmas Story” can be enjoyed by the entire family. It is charming, witty and everybody can relate to it. As a young child, there was always that one special item that we really wanted for Christmas. We dreamed about it night and day and anticipated the day Christmas arrived in hopes of unwrapping it. A Red Rider B-B gun is at the top of Ralphie's Christmas list. Everybody keeps telling him he will shoot his eye out, yet he ignores their warnings. In the movie, we see the battles that all young children face. We relive our childhood again through Ralphie in one of the most loved and humorous Christmas movies.
